Diploma Recognition
There is currently no legal framework in Haiti for a hybrid university model that combines online and in-person education. Xaragua University operates independently, relying on the Catholic Church's educational tradition, international academic standards, and recognized equivalency systems. This ensures a valid, internationally accepted, and incorruptible system that guarantees academic excellence without bureaucratic interference.
Xaragua University operates legally as an independent online institution, just like in Haiti and Canada. The Dominican Republic does not impose specific regulations on online universities, allowing us to provide high-quality education without bureaucratic restrictions. Our programs are designed to meet international academic standards while maintaining full autonomy.
At Xaragua University, we uphold our sovereignty and commitment to serving our people and territory. As an independent institution, we do not engage in external accreditation processes that could compromise our foundational mission. We believe in self-validation for both our university and our community.
However, we understand that students may seek external validation of their degrees for various purposes. In such cases, we strongly encourage students to independently pursue credential evaluations through private organizations or public universities, if absolutely necessary. This process remains the responsibility of the individual student.
Several private credential evaluation services are available to assist in this process. These organizations assess academic and professional degrees earned in one country and compare them to those earned in another, aiding institutions and employers in understanding foreign education systems. Notable services include:
World Education Services (WES): A nonprofit organization providing credential evaluations for international students and immigrants planning to study or work in the U.S. and Canada.
Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE): A charter member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), offering evaluation reports that identify U.S. equivalents of educational qualifications earned in other countries.
Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute (ACEI): Provides comprehensive evaluation reports and is a charter and endorsed member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE).
Engaging with these services can facilitate the recognition of your Xaragua University degree by external entities, should you choose to seek such validation.
